Reflection :
Before looking at the list, I was unaware of the vast number of awards there are for works of literature. In relation to how to use this to evaluate/review YA literature, I think that it is important to have books that are award winners in my library collection, and to have a diverse selection. Looking at all the different reasons that awards were given, they have one that would apply to almost any YA reader or their interests. When reading a YA book that is an award winner, I can focus on the criteria that defined it and compare/contrast it to other books that could have fit in the same categories. I can also ask myself whether or not I would have picked that book to be an award winner or not!
Finally, the list really made me want to read "March : Book Three," because it received numerous awards!
